Short-term mission roles at CVE

Toughened and tenderized at a young age.

Far past Eliza’s bedtime, Sis. Kacie gently wrapped her arms around the small thrashing frame. “Eliza, I am going to hold you until you can regulate yourself.” Hours later, the Lord gave Sis. Kacie insight into the confusing pain that resulted from a bicycle accident earlier that day. Words of sympathy, understanding, and explanation stilled the child’s heart and brought peace. Still in her early 20’s, Kacie marveled at the intensity this internship sometimes provided. Her heart was being both toughened and tenderized through experiences the Lord had provided during her one-year stay at CVE.

CVE (House of Life and Hope, Magdalena) is seeking young singles who are being called to serve on the mission field. Available roles range from bookkeeping, to communications/media, to maintenance and agriculture. They are looking for believers who are willing to walk through the HarvestCall short term missionary process. For Kacie, it worked out well to serve the year following undergraduate graduation.

What a difference a year can make.

Kacie would testify of an inner joy in the midst of the battle. “I have found that when I choose to follow and trust in Him, He gives me joy. When I walk around the CVE campus there is an unexplainable smile on my face and lightness of heart.” She would also testify of brokenness as the Lord has revealed her inadequacies. “No one can come here trying to shun vulnerability.” It is a season of rapid personal and spiritual growth.
