Awareness Tours

If you would like to meet the missionaries and see the ministries of CCCD, Deaf Can! Coffee and En Gedi House in person, but do not have the desire to participate on a short-term team, please consider an Awareness Tour. This is a quick trip that gives interested parties the opportunity to meet our missionary families, learn more about our Jamaica ministry as well as other outreach supported by HarvestCall. The trip will be over a weekend and include worshiping with a Deaf congregation.

Our next Awareness Tour is:
Jan. 17-21, 2019. There is room for 15 people.

Haiti

Bonne Fin

Bonne Fin, is a small village in the mountains of southwestern Haiti, about 45 minutes from Les Cayes, and the home of Hospital Lumiere. The Hospital Lumiere renovation program continues to restore and improve the facility to an environment that honors God and provides an atmosphere that contributes to the wellbeing of the hospital staff, our patients and their families.

Hospital Lumiere has an ongoing need for maintenance and/or construction teams and especially for skilled electricians. Rather than listing predetermined dates and asking people to fit into them, if a team, or individual, is interested in coming, they should contact the Administrator, Bro. Rick Aberle, to discuss possible dates and available projects.

Haiti

Medical & Dental

Physicians, surgeons, anesthesiologists, CRNAs, pharmacists, biotechs, laboratory techs, radiology techs, ultrasound techs, occupational and physical therapists, nurses and other specialists who are willing to assist with general medical and surgical care are invited to participate on scheduled teams or as individually arranged.

For Dental Teams, dentists, dental hygienists, and dental assistants are needed.

Periods of service can be from one week to 3 months. The skills, resources, and organization methods we sometimes take for granted in the US are very much needed in Haiti to give hope for healing in the lives where there would otherwise be little optimism.

Hospital Lumiere has a core staff of trained and committed professionals. Our goal is to assist them in bringing the Hospital campus up to the level of excellent patient care. Teams are scheduled throughout the year, including summer when the higher elevations provide a relatively cooler temperature.
