Apostolic Christian Youth Camps

Each camp prepares for a weekend of fellowship and sharing the Word with the youth of our denomination. Sharing the Word that tells us of the love of God that gave us his only son, that whosoever would believe on him would not perish but have everlasting life. Sharing the Word that also instructs, encourages, edifies, and equips these young believers with truth to face the issues of these times. These weekends are greatly anticipated, and may they be praise to the Lord!

History of AC Youth Camps

The Apostolic Christian summer youth camps were started in the early to mid-1990s by a group of Illinois brothers and sisters who saw an opportunity to encourage the faith of young boys and girls in our congregation. The first camps were hosted in Illinois with approximately 30 students from local churches attending each one.


In the following decades, the Lord opened the door for each camp to host over 100 attendees coming from churches across the AC denomination. In addition, Jr. High Boys and Girls Camp was started in Bloomington, and Ignite, a camp for those beyond high school, also began. All camps came under the elder body through the Working Committee for Camps, with each respective camp having a counseling elder.


Each year, the respective camp committees prayerfully plan weekends that focus on learning the Word to address current issues facing students and creating opportunities for fellowship and friendship within the AC denomination. These committees also navigate administrative tasks such as finding appropriate venues, managing finances, and obtaining insurance.


In 2021, at the annual meeting between camp representatives and the counseling elders, discussion was continued on obtaining adequate insurance coverage for the camps. It was clear that an organized structure was needed to protect the camps from potential liability. After some research, the conversation was started between Apostolic Christian HarvestCall representatives and camp leadership to consider the option of the camps being structured under HarvestCall.


The camp committees and HarvestCall were in agreement that the camps shared the purpose and mission of HarvestCall to proclaim the gospel and disciple and nurture believers to the glory of God. This shared vision spurred practical conversation of how camps could be structured and in 2024, all camps were legally organized under the formed HarvestCall Youth Camp Ministry, LLC with each individual camp keeping its own external branding and marketing.
