Lester Distribution Center

The Lester HarvestCall Distribution Center is supported by the Lester Apostolic Christian congregation. 

A fully functioning woodworking shop where wooden trays, seats, backs and other accessories for wheelchairs are made. In the paint room, trays are sprayed with a polyurethane finish. Foam is also brought in, cut and glued, and then put in a cover for a padded seat. All parts are then shipped to Hope Haven where they assemble the wheelchairs and distribute throughout the world. 

Every Tuesday, January through March, quilts are sewn, tied, serged and rolled for distribution to a variety of local organizations. Fleece blankets are tied and distributed to several local organizations. T-shirt dresses are sewn and sent with work groups to Kenya and Jamaica. Kids' activities include packaging pastries for local food pantries, making blessing bags for nursing homes, stuffing pillows, and packing health kits. Paper products are collected, assembled into bags, and delivered to local food pantries. Kids activity kits are put together for the local children's hospital.

Every year in April, our high school students put together 1000 soup kits to be delivered to local food pantries along with a truckload of food brought in from Midwest Food Bank.

Our distribution center has been able to provide a location for other ministries and needs that arise such as furniture distribution, food packaging, and a variety of food items that have been donated locally. We have contributed to multiple collections in conjunction with the community to fill shipping containers to send to Ukraine.
