Inner City Gospel invites participants to step into that same posture through relationships, gospel-centered ministry, and guided reflection that reshapes how we see our neighbors, whom we welcome into our lives, and how Christ is already at work in communities that are often misunderstood.

What is Inner City?
Many urban communities carry complex stories shaped by poverty, broken relationships, addiction, injustice, and hope. Yet too often, the people who live there are overlooked, misunderstood, or known only through stereotypes. Inner City Gospel invites participants to move beyond assumptions and discover how the gospel is transforming lives through faithful local churches and long-term ministry partnerships.
Throughout the experience, participants engage in carefully guided opportunities to learn, serve, and build relationships alongside trusted urban ministry partners. Conversations, shared meals, community engagement, practical service, and biblical reflection help participants discover that healthy ministry grows through presence, hospitality, dignity, and genuine relationships – not simply accomplishing projects or meeting immediate needs.
Inner City isn't about fixing communities. It's about allowing Christ to reshape who we notice, how we welcome them, and how we love our neighbors. Participants return home with a deeper appreciation for the dignity of every person, greater understanding of healthy, relationship-centered ministry, and renewed confidence to love their own neighbors with humility, compassion, and the hope of the gospel.
