Volunteer Age Requirement
Volunteers below the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent. Any volunteer below the age of 18 — unless accompanied by a parent — must fill out a waiver form to be presented upon arrival.
Participation Guidelines for work teams

Volunteers will be housed in dormitory style housing at North Orange Baptist Church, 4775 N 16th Street Orange, TX. The church is about 30 minutes east of Beaumont. All meals will be provided either at the church or on the job site beginning on Sunday evening. Accommodations at the church are available Sunday afternoon through Friday afternoon. Volunteers should plan to depart by 5:00 pm on Friday. Weekends are used to clean and prepare for the incoming team.
NOTE – Those who choose to stay in a hotel need to communicate their intentions to the ministry coordinator via email – firstname.lastname@example.org
What to Bring
Please bring twin sheets, towels, pillow cases. We will provide bunk beds with a thick mattress, a blanket and pillow. Bring a jacket and plan to dress in layers as the temperatures will fluctuate during the day.
Registration at North Orange Baptist Church will begin at 3:00 pm on Sunday afternoon. Please plan to arrive at 3:00 pm or later out of respect for the activities going on at the church. A worship service will be held at 4:00pm followed by dinner at 5:30 pm and orientation at 7:00 pm. All volunteers must be present for the orientation.
If you need transportation from Jack Brooks Regional Airport in Beaumont, please send travel details via email at least one week prior to your arrival to Barb Slagel at email@example.com There will be a HarvestCall Shuttle picking up at 1:00 pm on Sunday. The shuttle will stop for lunch at a local restaurant and plan to arrive at North Orange Baptist Church by 3:00 pm.
If you plan to use one of the Houston airports, you might consider connecting with other volunteers arriving/departing from the same airport. A weekly list of volunteers can be requested by contacting Les Schambach at firstname.lastname@example.org It will be your responsibility to make all arrangements and coordinate schedules.
Please go to this link in our Resources section which contains numerous documents for Team members. All adults must:
- Read Guidelines for Work Teams, Child Safety Policy, and Sexual Conduct Policy. If you have children who are going, you must discuss these policies with them, as age appropriate.
- Sign a waiver form and also the waiver for any of your minor children who will be going. When you sign the waiver, you are stating that you have read the documents referenced above.
