Rebuilding Registration - Hardin County, TX

Forty volunteers needed per week for 12 weeks, Sunday thru Friday, starting Jan. 6, 2019

If you are interested in serving in this ministry, select the appropriate Registration button below. Spots remaining will be visible in the registration system. Volunteers are encouraged to commit to a five-day work week. Afternoon departures on Friday are understood.

Volunteer Age Requirement 

Volunteers below the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent. Any volunteer below the age of 18 -unless accompanied by a parent - must fill out a consent form to be presented upon arrival.

Housing

Volunteers will be housed in dormitory style housing at Crestwood Baptist Church located at 1150 US Hwy. 69 S. Kountze, TX. The church is about 20 minutes north of Beaumont. All meals will be provided either at the church or on the job site beginning on Sunday evening. Accommodations at the church are available Sunday afternoon through Friday afternoon. Volunteers should plan to depart by 6:00 pm on Friday. Weekends are used to clean and prepare for the incoming team.

What to Bring

Please bring twin sheets, towels, pillow cases. We will provide bunk beds with a thick mattress, a blanket and pillow. Bring a jacket and plan to dress in layers as the temperatures will fluctuate during the day.

Registration/Orientation Schedule

Registration at Crestwood will begin at 3:00 pm on Sunday afternoon. Please plan to arrive at 3:00 pm or later out of respect for the activities going on at the church.A worship service will be held at 4:00pm followed by dinner at 5:30 pm and orientation at 7:00 pm. All volunteers must be present for the orientation.

Airport Transportation

If you need transportation from Jack Brooks Regional Airport in Beaumont, please send travel details via email at least one week prior to your arrival to Barb Slagel at slagelachc@gmail.com There will be a HarvestCall Shuttle picking up at 11:30 am on Sunday. The shuttle will stop for lunch at a local restaurant and plan to arrive at Crestwood by 3:00 pm.

If you plan to use one of the Houston airports, you might consider connecting with other volunteers arriving/departing from the same airport. A weekly list of volunteers can be requested by contacting Les Schambach at usa@harvestcall.org It will be your responsibility to make all arrangements and coordinate schedules.

Guidelines for Work Teams” and “Wavier and Release of Liability.” Each volunteer will be required to sign the “Wavier and Release of Liability” form. Forms will also be available at registration.
